About US
We can work with almost any dog, age, size or breed. We train dogs that have issues with aggression, leash reactivity, bad manners, skittishness and any other behavior problems. Training service dogs is our training background and we will train your PET with the same calm assertive leadership, confidence, communication, consistent command work and praise, so you can enjoy your dog in any environment. Service dogs are the most well behaved and obedient dogs in the world, they provide assistance for people with disabilities everyday. We use praise as positive reinforcement. We do not use treats, prong or E collars. Our techniques are proven from training service dogs that have been placed with disabled people all over the United States. Our ultimate goal is to deliver your dog back to you with the knowledge and skills to perform all learned commands and to have a calmer temperament, so you the owner can gain more control over your dog in any situation and environment. We will show you the dog owner, how to maintain these commands and how to handle your dog going forward. We want to build a life long partnership with you and your dogs. Please see our commands list. Our owner received a 4,000 hour certification through the United States Department of Labor training service dogs. Although, the total dedicated training hours is estimated to be over 12,000. This is great news for you and your dogs because we teach and train dogs with those exact same principals, techniques, methods and commands.
Your dog will be training, interacting with the public, playing, working on behavior issues and adapting to a new routine from 7am until 6pm during their stay with us. Your dog will live on our owners property in a nice heated/cooled space.
We offer board and train services, one on one training sessions, service dog training and boarding services.
OUR GOAL
Our goal is to train your dog and to show you, our customer and dog owner the required leadership and confidence necessary, so you can properly handle your dog in any situation and environment. We know how frustrating and embarrassing it can be when a dog is behaving out of control at home and in public. We work extremely hard to help you and your dog establish a new and better bond/relationship through better communication, leadership and our one of a kind training routines.
We want you to feel how good it feels to walk a dog in public heeling beside you and ignoring distractions going on around them. If they do have a bad moment we want you to posses the confidence and leadership to handle your dog in any situation. We want to help eliminate any fear you may have handling your dog in public or any other environment.
We want to help you and your dog develop the most loving relationship possible. Often dog owners mistakenly nurture bad and unhelpful habits. We will show you how to eliminate those bad habits and put you on the right track to continue to develop your dog going forward.
Services and pricing
Board and Train, 2, 3 and 4 week program:
We will use the exact same principals and techniques that we use to train our service dogs to train your dog, so your dog will become smarter and give them the skills to behave better everyday in any environment. We will train your dog one on one everyday they are with us and will also train your dog in public everyday as well. We firmly believe in proactive socialization and incorporate that into our training. Your dog will live at our location everyday and night. Your dog will be trained everyday with a certified dog trainer. Please see the commands list section to view what your dog will learn with Dog Leaders and keep in mind every dog is different and learn at different speeds. The faster they learn, the more we teach. We will teach your dog to heel on your left side, enter in and out of doorways calmly and the other commands on the command list. We will provide pictures and weekly updates with progress and any issues. We are easy to work with, we can customize a package for almost anyone and willing to work out a payment plan if necessary on a case by case basis. Just give us a call. We train people to train dogs:
I will personally train you one on one in your home or at my location, so you can gain better control of your dog in ALL environments with confidence. This will help you establish more leadership, confidence and build a stronger bond between you and your dog. I will teach you how to develop the necessary skills to handle your dog everyday. We will never stop learning. Please call or text me to get scheduled. PRICING: $150 for 60 to 90 minute session. We can customize a plan just for you and your dogs.
Service dogs:
We train service dogs and can train your pet/dog to possibly qualify for assistance work and to be just as obedient and well behaved as a service dog. This is at least a 3 to 6 month program and could take much longer depending on your dogs age, temperament. and behavior issues. There are several factors that will determine the actual time frame necessary to get your animal ready to work and perform in public. Your dog will train in public almost everyday and learn all the basic commands plus several advanced commands. Please give us a call to discuss your level of commitment and what you are looking to accomplish. The sky is the limit with this training! Boarding services:
We board dogs based on a case by case basis., mainly depending on availability. Your dog will relax comfortably in our climate control facility and have scheduled play time everyday. We strive to socialize dogs with other dogs based on temperament. PRICING: $40 a day - Paid upfront when dog is dropped off
Commands list
Below are the commands your dog will learn during our board and train programs and what we will teach you during our one on one training sessions. We will provide you with a new thick round rope leash and training collar, so you can continue training with proper equipment.
1) HEEL - We will train your dog to heel on the left side, collar even with pants seam or leg.
2) GO TO HEEL - When dog gets out of position, we will train your dog to go back to your left side.
3) STOP - When coming to halt we will train your dog to stop when you stop walking.
4) ABOUT - We will train your dog to change directions with you without pulling.
5) SIT - We will train your dog to sit, sit and stay and teach a hand signal to sit.
6) DOWN - We will train your dog go down, down and stay and teach a hand signal to go down.
7) STAY - We will train your dog to stay, sit/stay, down/stay and stay if standing.
8) WAIT - We will train your dog to come to you at a later time, teach a hand signal to wait and to wait before entering and leaving doorways.
9) COME - We will train your dog to come to you and teach a hand signal to come.
10) LEAVE IT - Ignore what ever it is. Example, always sniffing the ground when walking or trying to pick up something with mouth.
11) LEFT OR RIGHT - We will train your dog to turn left or right when heeling in those directions.
12) OFF - We teach off when jumping or on items such as furniture.
13) OK - Release command
14) NO - Please only use this word when verbally correcting your dog for unwanted behavior.
15) DOORWAYS - We will train your dog to stop and wait before entering in and out of doorways.
16) KENNEL - We will fully kennel train your dog if they are not already kennel trained.
Please continue using the exact words and hand signs when we return your dog to maintain commands and performance. Please do this when ever you are interacting with you dog. We never punish our dogs for not performing a command. We simply work with the dog over and over until they get it right and then use positive reinforcement and PRAISE as the reward system. Remember, your dog needs to get used to you taking full leadership over them once they return home. We will teach you the appropriate hand signs and how to handle your dog going forward at the end of the process at our location with a one on one training session with you and your dog. All commands are easy for dog owners to learn to easily maintain your dogs new skills.
